Lake Travis varsity boys defeated Hays tonight in a very exciting game. The final score was 62-45, but at halftime the score was 25-24 in favor of Lake Travis. It was tight most of the way, with Lake Travis pulling away in the 4th quarter, sealing the game with a show of power inside in the last few minutes. Hays never gave up though, and early in the second half it looked like they might be able to pull this one out, but it just wasn’t to be. Tonight belonged to the Cavaliers. For the most part this was a great game. Fast paced, and very close through most of the first half. After half time, Lake Travis’ size and speed were just a bit much for Akins.
